Does Christmas Fill You with Dread?

The countdown appears to have begun. For some that will bring a feeling of childlike excitement, planning a festive, happy, busy time. Most of us have had years like that, but for some, Christmas and other celebrations just heighten our feelings of anxiety, maybe money is a problem, or grief for years gone by, before the loss of loved ones.

We may feel pressure to look good, provide the perfect day and all the associated stresses and strains.

Establish A Healthy Relationship With Food

Diets and detoxes are great, they engage our conscious mind and make us think about what we are eating and when we are eating it. Unfortunately when the diet or detox comes to an inevitable end, if we haven’t addressed the reasons behind our eating disorder, or our obsession with food, those old habits will surface from our subconscious mind and we will soon be back to square one!

Reduce Anxiety and Stop Those Bad Habits

Many people come to me for help with habits, it may be nail biting, smoking, eating behaviours, or any other behaviour that at at one time reduced anxiety, but has now become an unwanted habit.

With Hypnotherapy it is easy to address habits, although if the underlying anxiety isn’t addressed, either the habit will return, or manifest in another form.

The classical example is, when a client calls and tell me that I did such a good job helping them to stop smoking, but now they are biting their nails, so can I stop them doing that.

Yes I can, but if we don’t acknowledge and treat the underlying causes, they are likely to be very regular customers!

Group Hypnotherapy

After hosting a group hypnotherapy Weightloss and self esteem session this weekend, I was really inspired to do more of these.  The energy in the room was amazing and there was a good rapport within the group. I am confident that they will support each other and the natural “positive affirmations” that were used within the group were taking effect immediately.

It is such a positive thing to work on having a healthy attitude towards food and at the same time build up self esteem. This is much more powerful than diet alone and the results more realistic and long lasting.
